Apple quietly updated the malware protection for Mac OS X During the broadcast version of Mac OS X 10.6.4, Apple updated XProtect.plist, a database of signatures used to detect malware. Sophos claims that Apple’s silence security issues is a false sense of security among users.
Security is not a subject on which Apple likes to lie down, except perhaps for the promotion of its operating system Mac OS.
