It is very simple because driver download provide freely in the internet. However, the matter of fact, if you find the original driver, you must pay an expensive price. The reason is that the driver owner, Microsoft, has legalized their product. Therefore, if you want to use the original driver, you must pay it in an expensive price.

In United State, you will find most of the drivers are original. In USA, American must have the original one, if they do not have, they will concern with the body of authority. It seems like a common phenomenon today because many people around the world do it. In addition, they up date their driver of the computer or laptop to get the best performance. There are many search machine engine in the internet that offer system media of free driver. Therefore, you can get your driver such as sound driver, window driver, and soon freely. The most important thing is that you will get fast installation. You can choose many features in the internet related with downloading any drivers freely but you must know the capacity of the driver.

Some other feature will provide you just 2 minutes installation. It is fast right! Hence, you can use it as your reference to get driver update in order to make your PC or laptop’s performance become more compatible and fast.

Messaging

OS X Server 10.4 and beyond is equipped with embedded iChat Server. Developed on the jabber protocol, Mac OS X Server has the ability to farm jabber services to any jabber-able client; this includes iChat, Adium X on Mac OS X, and Trillian for Windows. Your employees are able to communicate with each other on the network, or with remote access, to exchange files, text, and audiovisual chat. It’s all able to be administrated from Mac OS X’s Open Directory. Enabling the service on the X Admin application is a simple process. Sysadmins are able to encrypt by making a self-signed certificate or by simply going with a vendor such as GoDaddy or Verisign – to encrypt all IM communications. The best thing is that there aren’t any client access license limitations. You may even already use an Active Directory system; if so, no problem. Just merge OS X to Active Directory, and use the AD credentials to IM with the iChat.

Content

A profile or group is able to be managed locally or on the OS X Server. This lets sysadmins block users from particular websites, even allowing the creation of an all-inclusive list of sites which employees are allowed to visit. If you already have Web Filtering by Postini in use, consider using it in tandem with the OS X policy to restrict undesirable content away from your employees’ web browsers.

Security

You really should be proactive about the security of your small business, and that’s exactly why OS X is complete with secure encryption of nearly all aspects of the user’s experience. Three top ways to maintain safe and secure data include:

1) File Vault can encrypt the whole profile or folder into a disk image which is kept on the local system, protected by password.

2) Applemail and Entourage are both able to be modified for certificates which are self-signed or commercial-verified. Thawte provides free certificates by email, and other companies supply the same at low cost. This can allow workers to transmit encrypted email amongst each other as clients.

3) Keychain assistant, built into OS X, provides easy ways to store credentials in a high-security encrypted area, automatically.

The keychain created by OS X is pre-set to unlock after logging in, and lock again upon logging out. This allows users to keep passwords and other credentials secure. Apple’s password assistant shows you the encryption strength of a password live as it is being selected. The user can develop the benefit of Keychain assistant by creating secure keychain notes manually, even adding several keychains devoted to storing certain kinds of passwords, software serial numbers, personal info, etc.

Archives

As you probably have an incredible number of emails or locally-stored files, it may be difficult for the newbie user to search for a particular file or email. Fortunately, OS X 10.4 comes with Spotlight, which PC-users can really only be prepared for using with prerequisite knowledge of Google Desktop or Windows Vista search tools. Spotlight is able to locate files by name, content, or file type. It’s even able to do a boolean query, like ‘apple .xls’ to find Excel spreadsheets with ‘apple’ in the name. Spotlight can also be extended by the use of valuable plugins

Looking for best cheap web hosting plans compatible with MAC (Macintosh)? If so, first review a few important tips before doing anything else.

All websites currently run on either a Windows web server or a Linux-based server. The vast majority of websites run on a Linux-based platform as Linux has a strong reputation for security and web server performance. With standard (static) HTML-based websites, the web hosting platform doesn’t make much difference. However it does make a difference when the website uses a dynamic scripting technology such as ASP (A Microsoft based technology), or PHP / PERL (Linux based technologies).

One of the biggest misconceptions is that you have to select the same operating system for your hosting account that you use on your own computer. This is simply not true. In other words, you can select Linux for your hosting account if you currently use Windows or Mac operating systems on your own computer.

Basically, unless your website uses ASP (pages ending in the .asp extension), Windows hosting is not recommended.

It is very important your service be uptime (functioning and available for use). It means you can access your account whenever you want to update your web pages, and users can enter your website whenever they refer to your site address. If your hosting service is not uptime it can be catastrophic!

to you to pick the right web hosting service. There are many websites which display a couple of web hosting companies as the best and leave people confused without being helpful. To make things even more confusing, some hosting companies are cheating and lying to their customers!

For those who have their own Mac computer, learning how to do Macintosh data recovery is essential. Everyone who owns a Apple computers think that they no longer need to worry because hacks and viruses can no longer get to them. But that is not always true because as time passes, viruses will be created. The Mac OS X in particular seems to have many weak spots. This is how data is lost in Macs same way as data is lost in Personal Computers (PC). The fact that Macs statistically get less viruses does not mean anything. This is because as compared to the PC, there aren’t as many Macs in use out there.

Your precious eye candy Macintosh computer is still able to be attacked by viruses and hackers and lots of important data may be lost and destroyed in the process. The Mac hard drive may even crash. Also, some simple mistakes on your part will always lead to loss of data. Then there are also those inevitable physical shocks or damage to the PC that may causes data loss.

In fact when you look inside your Mac, you might be surprised to see many familiar parts that are also being used in any PC. There are viruses that target these specific parts. If that happens, your precious computer becomes infected. There are also specific viruses that will be able to infect specific applications in any kind of OS.

To protect your computer from such kinds of attacks, you should always keep a steady lookout for anything you are downloading as well as watching out for email attachments from unknown people. You should always make sure that you have a working and regularly updated anti-virus program. Finally, always backup your files.

There isn’t much difference between the process of recovering data from a PC and a Mac. In both, FAT or NTFS files in the hard drive can be retrieved. When deleting a file unintentionally, you can do a scan for these deleted data. Free data recovery software for Mac is also available online.

There are some data recovery software that is solely for the Mac operating system X. There are also those that have no specialization and can be used anywhere. Just make sure that you get the right one for you computer and for your needs. One can always call the Macintosh customer service in order to inquire on this subject and get leads on it. The manufacturer will of course always have the best of knowledge on these matters.

You should stop using the damaged or problematic computer. Download your Macintosh Data recovery software somewhere else. You will want to keep that computers data storage untouched so as not to overwrite on your lost file before you can retrieve it.

Just like all other computer companies, Apple produces a range of equipment to meet their many customers’ needs. There are laptops, desktops, eMac computers and more. Each of the machines is equipped with the incredible technologies and advances that Apple is known around the world for providing, and each also allows the owner to upgrade some parts of the system when necessary.

This is seen most often with Apple Macintosh memory, and a majority of their computers allow the user or owner to add a huge amount of RAM when needed or desired.

The primary reason that someone might seek an Apple Macintosh memory upgrade will usually have to do with the speed of performance during professional or graphics-heavy applications. Consider that a huge number of designers, graphic artists, gaming enthusiasts and artists use Mac computers, and all of these people demand that their equipment process and display images and graphics in maximum clarity and quality. This all translates to memory and performance.

When an owner decides that they need an Apple Macintosh RAM upgrade their first step will be to identify the type and amount possible with their system configurations. Currently, Apple Macintosh owners will be able to do everything from inserting memory modules into expansion slots to adding new memory to an existing system that is configured to support a pre-set level.

To determine what amount and type is possible the owner or user can perform a “Scan My System” operation that delivers the very specific information about the capacity for their specific machine. For instance, a scan may let them know that their computer has eight slots requiring matching modules formatted in the DIMM style. Alternately, they may see that they have no expansion slots, but a system capable of supporting an increased range of RAM.

The primary consideration, after the appropriate module size and style, is the ability of the memory manufacturer to meet the OEM (original equipment manufacturer) specifications required by Apple Macintosh machines. Currently, there are a few really reliable suppliers, and both the Kingston memory modules and the Samsung memory modules are able to provide owners with the quality and consistency they need.

If an Apple Macintosh computer owner is stumped about their system specifications, the Internet is a great resource for support, answers and information. Most Mac users are very dedicated to the brand and there are a huge assortment of forums, fan sites and Internet discussions that can provide technical answers and details about memory issues.

Apple Inc. is the company that designs, develops, and markets Macintosh line of personal computers. Macintosh is a brand name for the computer line of Apple Inc. In recent times, the newer models of Macintosh computers are termed as Mac.

It was one of its kinds, because it was the first commercially successful computer to have a graphical user interface (GUI) and a mouse. It did not have a command line interface.

The Time It All Started:

Apple introduced Macintosh to its Board of Directors and the entire world, on January 24, 1984, which was also its original release date. The first Macintosh computer was a small one with a 12″ screen and 128K RAM of memory.

However, this computer did not serve the actual purpose of the people and the company had to stall its production. Only 5000 units of Macintosh personal computers were sold in seventy-four days after its launch. In other words, it was not that big success for the company and people were finding it difficult to use even a single floppy with it.

Therefore, Apple Inc. released an upgrade form of the earlier version of Macintosh computers and unofficially termed it as ‘Fat Mac’. These versions of Macintosh computers had 512K RAM, which was four times the actual memory of the earlier Macintosh computers.

Before Macintosh computers, individuals had to operate all other computers by typing in words on the keyboard. In short, those computers were text-based. Macintosh computers were the first computers, that people operated using a mouse and icons on the screen.

The founders of Apple Inc. were Steve Jobs and Steve Wozniak. Apple Inc. ran an advertisement for Macintosh computer lines, which cost around 1.5 million dollars. The advertisement just ran once in 1983. Apple Inc. again broadcasted the same advertisement during NFL Super Bowl and millions of people were able to see what a Macintosh computer is.

In the year 1985, Macintosh line of computers had received a huge response from the people and its sales increased due to the introduction of Laser Writer printers. With the help of a printer and computer, it was possible to publish home desktop and Aldus PageMaker. This year also marked the departure of its original founders from Apple Inc.

At Present:

After the success of Macintosh computers, Apple Inc. made a lot of progress in the field of computers. At present, along with personal computers, Apple also designs, develops and markets laptops, music systems (iPods) and mobile phones under the brand name of Macintosh or Mac.

There are lots of options when it comes to apple data recovery.I will attempt to inform you on the different needs and wants for data recovery and why it does not always have to cost upwards of thousands to recover your lost data.

One reason why data recovery can cost thousands. If you had a fire and your computer was partially melted, yes then you will have to pay a TON of money and have a small chance of full recovery of your lost macintosh data. Immersion in water or the sea for periods of time also decrease the chances of full data recovery and increase the costs involved.

If you need the lost data recovered now! You will pay a pretty penny even if it has not been damaged in fire or water. Companies love to charge hundreds extra for rush jobs. What they don’t tell you is the process takes days no matter what they do and you will have to wait until every proper aspect of data recovery work is completed.

What I suggest is to remain calm and don’t fret about the data. Just be patient. Normal data apple data recovery runs about $299 provided the drive has not been physically damaged. This should include possible mechanical removal and replacement of your hard drives internals. Some times to get a hard drive to work again it has to be taken down and mechanically or electrically repaired. Companies love to up charge this service when it should be included in the original macintosh data recovery prices.

So you should be able to recover atleast 90% of your data no matter if the drive was formatted or just plain stopped making any noises. I have had reasonable data recovery performed for well under $500 dollars. You can too!

If a Mac is so great why doesn’t more people use them? Almost everyone I know are happily using Windows not knowing what they are missing. Often they ask me: why are you using that Mac? I get this question from time to time and I have developed a good routine in how to answer those questions. You want to know how I confront this?

First I tell them that I use a Mac because I like it and it suit my needs perfectly. And then I do not give them anymore. Sometimes they say OK and move on with their life. If that is the case it is OK. You do not have to defend what you like for anyone, that is your choice alone.

Other times they start asking questions and these questions I try to answer as honestly as possible. If I sense more interest from the person I usually start demonstrating a feature I like with Mac OS X. This can spark more questions from the subject and eventually get the snowball running.

As a person I am not the one that likes being subjected to sales pitch. And therefore I try to keep the same attitude when I need to speak to others about a product I like. Sometimes the person asking you questions actually expect sales pitch from you. Prove them wrong! This can also spark some interest because your answer is unexpected. It is not sales pitch.

If someone asks me what kind of problems I have had with my Macs I am honest there too. For example I had a bad battery once, Apple replaced that battery without question. If you keep being dead honest it will be easier for you to convince users to switch. In the end it is about what I like, not what others like me to use.

As word processing is one of the most common tasks performed by users it is also one of the most common source of problems. This article outlines my methods for diagnosing and fixing problems in Microsoft Word running on the Macintosh. It also demonstrates my core method for examining most application support issues.

Step one in diagnosing these problems is to discover if the problem is application specific, machine specific or document specific. Let’s look at an example.

The user tells us “Word won’t print to my printer.” Our first step is to check that the problem is just Word. Open another application, Text Edit is perfect, and create a small document – just the word “Testing” is perfect – and see if that will print. If this fails then we know we have a general printing problem and can address that. If it succeeds then re-open Word and create the same small document. If this prints then we know we have a document specific problem; if it doesn’t we have a problem printing from within Word. The same steps can be taken with other Word and document problems, remember that Text Edit can open and save Word documents for diagnosing other problems.

Document Problems

If there is a document problem then we need to repair the document. Our first step should be to physically copy the document, this will probably not work as a repair step but will at least give us a copy to work on rather than the original. Second, create a new document in Word and copy and paste the entire text from our original into the new document. If this doesn’t work then try opening the document in Text Edit and save a copy in Word format with a new name such as “Document name – repaired”, you may, however, lose some formatting with this as Text Edit does not support all Word formatting.

If none of these work (or you lose too much formatting) then you may be forced to create several Word document containing parts of the file to discover exactly what is causing the problem, note that it is usually the beginning or end of the document or one section (for documents containing sections) inside the document that is causing the problem.

Word Problems

Problems in Word can usually be split into three types, the application itself, the preferences and the user data. The best course of action is to address all three at once.

The Microsoft uninstall process is notorious for its inability to remove all the preferences on the Mac system so do it by hand by dragging them to the trash. They can be found in :-

Library:Application Support:Microsoft Library:Preferences:com.microsoft.* Users:user_name:Library:Application Support:Microsoft Users:user_name:Library:Preferences:com.microsoft.*

(user_name is the name of the user and the ‘* is a wildcard meaning multiple files all starting the same but ending differently.)

Now drag the “Microsoft Office 2004″ folder to the trash then empty the trash.

Finally in the users “Documents” folder is a folder called “Microsoft User Data”. If the user uses Entourage then this contains their mail, otherwise it just contains some user specific set up information. To be safe, rather than just delete it right click on it (or control click on one button mice) and select “Create a archive of Microsoft User Data”which will zip up the folder then delete it.

Now re-install Office (using the Installer rather than the drag and drop method) and the problem should have gone.

If this doesn’t work then you have a deeper problem. At this point the most likely problem is with the user account itself. Create a new user and test to see if you still have the problem. If it has gone then you should set up the new user identical to the old user and transfer all their documents. If that doesn’t work then you have a serious operating system problem and should seriously consider a re-install.
