Mac OS X Leopard OS X 10.5 is one of the most advanced operating system in the world. Leopard improves the whole Mac experience. It is considered as the faster, reliable, and easier operating system to use.

Ways to install Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard

Let’s begin from the DVD installation. To begin the installation process, just put the Mac OSX Leopard DVD inside your drive and with the help of mouse click the install Mac OS X icon. You can begin the process by putting the DVD inside your drive and simply restarting your computer pressing the C button, or by choosing the run DVD option as your startup disk using the preference of Startup Disk.

If the Mac OS X is formerly installed

If the Mac OS X is formerly installed you can choose the default installation. When the Mac OS X installer popup, try to chase the onscreen directions to choose your Mac OS X startup disk. When the disk is accepted it will show a green arrow icon. By default, installer automatically helps you to update your recent installed version of Mac OS X to Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard.

If you want to follow a different path, try to press the option button on the Select a Destination window; and follow the advice about the running options.

Options of installation

If the device does not read any previous version of Mac OS X on your hard disk, or if you press option button on the Select a Destination window, an installation veneer will arise asking you to select from Mac OS X, Archive and install, or Erase and install. Choose a process, and then press OK to go on. Mac OS X choice will help you to run the Mac OS X for the first time on the hard disk. Archive and install choice transfer existing system data to a folder named previous system, and then runs an updated copy of Mac OS X. This is only provided for system with Mac OS X already installed. Normally, if you choose this process, you will need to choose Preserve Users and Network settings which transfer the abide user accounts, home folders and your network settings into the refreshed system.

If you want to delete your disk before running Mac OS X Leopard, you can choose the erase and install option. But, be careful that this selection will erase the whole disk, so ensure you have saved your essential files first. Before this process you can partition your disk, for this you need to choose Disk Utility and press the partition button. If you shared the disk you can choose format of disk consisting Mac OS Extended (Case sensitive, Journaled), Mac OS Extended (Case Sensitive) and Mac OS Extended (Journaled), and. In all the above cases, you must select Mac OS Extended (Journaled). After sharing, remove Disk Utility to the Leopard installer.

In case of third –party SCSI card

You cannot run Mac OS X 10.5 if you have installed a third party SCSI. Try to connect a terminator or a tool to the port of the card. If you have problems, remove the card, and try to communicate with the developer of the card for further information about using the card with Mac OS X.

In case of Third –party video card

You are obliged to remove the third party video card before installation. This time too you need to communicate with the developer about using the card with Mac OS X 10.5

How to install mac os x on a blank hard drive?
I have the newest model of the Macbook pro and just put in a new 640 gig Seagate hard drive. When I boot up with my Mac disk, I get the apple that pops up, but from there I can not figure out how to install the OS.
